WE ARE JUGGERNAUT
The leading purveyors of rugged product design. A team of engineers and designers, we’ve been bringing military grade rugged design to the rest of the world.
RANDALL TOLTZMAN, Principal Randall has over three decades of experience in the Industrial Design of products within a broad range of markets including medical equipment, consumer electronics and business equipment. He discovered Industrial Design while studying architecture at ASU, after a Mattel sponsored toy design competition he was hooked. Strong commitment to user centered design that values function over frill guide his design. Randall enjoys traveling to explore culture, arts and architecture (especially mid-century). He also enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking in the Sonoran Desert.
TOM MUDAY, Principal It has been suggested that Tom’s mechanical abilities were forged as a kid repairing sewing machines & vacuum cleaners in the family business; it certainly helped. After graduating from Michigan Tech, Tom signed on with Arrow Mold Plastics and it was there that his education really began. Working with many talented industrial designers, toolmakers, draftsmen, and machinists, Tom was offered the chance to spend time on the factory floor, drafting room, board room, tool shop, and design studio. Close to 20 years later, 10 years as a principal of Juggernaut, his efforts are focused on growing a talented engineering team. Tom also finds time to enjoy Arizona with his wife and three daughters.
CHRIS STALZER, Principal Chris has been actively working as an industrial designer on a broad range of products for over twenty five years. His life-long interest in military systems has been applied for the past seventeen years as Principal Designer/DoD/MIL Liaison at Juggernaut Defense. These projects have led to many hands-on experiences and a keen understanding of the warfighter’s environment. Chris has also developed key relationships with current and former members of the defense community worldwide that provide an invaluable resource for accurate evaluation of products during development stages. Working collaboratively with many Prime Contracts as a subcontractor and as a direct contractor to JSOC/SOCOM/NSW/AFSOC/USASOC, Chris has delivered many concepts and designs as a subject matter expert (SME) in the field of dismounted warfighter equipment and dismounted C4ISR systems. This has led to increased lethality, protection, and communications all while reducing weight/burden on the operator and overall cost.
DON WESTGAARD, Engineering Director At an early age Don built projects in his Dad’s workshop. In High School he took every drafting class they offered until they had to create more for him. Before completing High School he had a great opportunity presented to him, a full time position at a Nuclear Medical Product manufacturer as a detail draftsman. He went to college at night but never stopped his career and because of this early start Don has over 40 years of experience in product development, engineering and manufacturing. Don moved away from product development for 8 years to pursue a detailed understanding of tool design and molding. He took a job with a custom molding company to learn the molding process. He returned to product development and has used his plastics background as a strength in product development. Don enjoys sports and loves to spend time with his wonderful and growing family.
CHRIS BUTTENOB, Design Director Having early memories of drawing cars at his Grandmothers kitchen table, Chris always loved to draw and paint. With a plan set of becoming an architect after high school, he was introduced to Industrial Design and he never looked back. With 20 years of experience, he focuses his creativity on solutions for challenging user centric problems. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys. He also finds time to play golf and use his skills in woodworking.
