User Interface (UI) focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and ensuring that the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand, and use to facilitate those actions. This can include displays screens, keyboards, voice active controls, handheld devices, and wearable objects, to name a few. The interface is often talked about in conjunction with user experience (UX), which may include the aesthetic appearance of the device, response time and the content that is presented to the user within the context of the user interface.
The goal of UI is typically usability and efficiency, where users are able to achieve their goals as efficiently as possible without focusing too much on the interface itself. In that sense, a well-designed user interface becomes effectively intuitive or even invisible to those using it.
Successful UI design requires an understanding of your user’s goals, skills, obstacles, preferences, and tendencies. Juggernaut has had great success in being purposeful, leaning on consistent and common behavioral understandings, to create simple and intuitive interfaces that reward interaction – and steer away from misuse or abuse.
