OUR APPROACH

APPROACH We have been doing this for over three decades and there a few things that we’ve learned are instrumental in a successful project. First is collaboration – meaning we listen, respond, and are accessible. Yes, this seems like a small thing, but trust us, it’s a big deal. Next comes the ability to clearly define a project. We know the questions to ask so that the full scope of the project is charted. We start with understanding who is going to use the product and how. This creates a baseline of defining the environment and level of durability that will be required. What we don’t know, we find out. Our initial stage, Design Definition, is built around gathering diagnostic information that is used throughout the project guiding an informed ‘prescription’. Lastly, we can’t forget implementation. If you can’t successfully test and manufacture your product within budget and schedule parameters, then you really have nothing to show for the effort.

Experience builds expertise – both come in very handy.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGINEERING Design and engineering go hand in hand. That’s why our team is split between designers and engineers. We’ve learned that you can’t have truly rugged products without the engineering credentials to pull it off. Our engineering team is critical to testing and validating materials, fasteners, and sealing requirements – to name a few. With the help of our in-house test lab, we validate thermal, shock, drop, sealing, and other critical functions of truly rugged products.
